October 2009 Newsletter
Dear Members and Patrons of the Arts:
These beautiful early fall days are inspiring, aren't they? If you are not out painting, I hope you are at least taking photos to be your inspiration for paintings to be accomplished in your studio this winter. Next week I hope to be seeing some beautiful foliage during a drive to Branson, Missouri, where I will enjoy an elderhostel which will discuss how that marvelous community became the behemoth of entertainment it has become. One book I read stated that there are some 38 different theaters in that small community, and that they have more theater seats there than Las Vegas and New York City combined! I'll check that out and I'll be full of facts and figures when I return. My plans are to return home on the day of our meeting on Tuesday, October 6, and I hope to see you at our meeting which will start as usual at 7:00 p.m. Plan to meet me there, won't you, and bring a friend or two to enjoy the festivities with you. A board meeting will start at 6:00 p.m.
