SCHERER, James M. Age 75, of Huber Heights, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Grandview Hospital. James was a retired Tool & Die Maker at Delphi Chassis, a division of General Motors with over 22 years of service, a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Fairborn Art Association and volunteered at Carriage Hill as a Photopher. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. in 1983; parents, Stefan & Maria Scherer. James is survived by his wife, Marie K.; daughters & son-in-law, Elizabeth A. Scherer of Huber Heights, Patrice L. & Chris Nay of Dublin; sons & daughter-in-law, Timothy J. & Kris Scherer of IN, Christopher J. Scherer of IN; step-children and their spouses, Sheila M. Schons of Columbus, Steven H. & Carolyn Walker of VA, Raymond M. & Sheila Walker of Columbus; sisters, Ann (Wendell) Ruppaner, Cathy Scherer, both of Akron; brothers, Steve (Donna) Scherer of Kent, Joe Scherer of Akron; grandchildren, Chris, Lindsey, Hannah, Kirstie, Joe, Margaret, Mary, Sam, Joanna; nieces & nephews; mother-in-law, Anna Kleiner; and many other relatives & friends. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Friday, December 4, 2015 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6161 Chambersburg Rd. with Father Ethan Moore celebrant. Interment St. Brigids Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 PM at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike.
