On Tuesday, April 1 (April Fool’s Day!), F.A.A. met for its monthly meeting. Our speaker for the meeting was Kevin Buntin of Troy, Ohio. He is an experienced art doll creator and figurative sculptor as well as a freelance writer. He primarily works in the genre of folklore, fantasy, whimsical horror, and seasonal themes. He has been published in various periodicals and in the Encyclopedia of Polymer Clay Techniques. He has won awards at the Troy Art on the Square show, and as a recipient of the Froud Artist of the Month.
During his presentation, he engaged the members with his humor, storytelling, and his descriptions of his creative process. It was easy to envision his creations coming to life in his studio and sharing all manner of adventures.
