PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Hello Fellow Artists!
We are now on the fast track towards Thanksgiving and Christmas! Wasn’t I just wearing shorts and flipflops? I am now wearing sweaters, sweatshirts, jeans, huddling in blankets, and decorating my house in pumpkins and turkeys. I hope you all are enjoying the experience of changing seasons and the joy they bring.
The guest demo artist for our meeting on Tuesday, November 4, at 7:00 pm will be Charmaine Boggs who works in mixed media. I look forward to seeing you all there!
This month I would like to thank Debbie Cosenza for all she does as Membership Chairperson. She greets us each month and is in charge of keeping track of membership paperwork and collecting dues, makes sure we have a new directory printed every year to distribute to members, and brings our door prizes. She is such joy to work with, and I appreciate all she does!
Just a reminder that our Christmas party will be held on Saturday, December 13, from 3:00-5:00 pm. It will be catered, and you need to bring a $15 gift if you want to participate in our gift exchange. We always have a good time with Warren Brown playing Santa Claus.
That’s all for now, so keep creating, my friends!
Linda Brandenburg, President
NOVEMBER’S GUEST ARTIST – CHARMAINE BOGGS

Charmaine Boggs will demo at FAA on Tuesday, November 4, at 7:00 p.m. Charmaine, visual artist and photographer, is a long time Centerville resident and retired Incarnation School teacher. Her present work is focused on mixed media experimentation, combining the traditional art materials of canvas, paint, and ink with photography, cyanotype print-making, and collage. Her work is often inspired by the beauty of the natural world, by the written word expressed in poetry and literature, and sometimes just by the materials on her worktable. All find their way into her art, as she experiments with layers of paints, inks, and other art mediums, combining them with her photography, cyanotype prints, and even repurposed older artwork.
Charmaine is a member of the Dayton Society of Artists, the Miamisburg Art Gallery, and the Women’s TriArt Society. She shares her work regularly on Instagram and Facebook, offers tutorials and behind the scenes video clips on YouTube, and has a website at www.CBoggsArt.com
