Fairborn Art Association will co-sponsor the 33rd annual Fairborn Sweet Corn Festival on Saturday, August 16, and Sunday, August 17, 2014. The Festival will have approximately 160 booths of handmade arts & crafts items from local and regional vendors. An art tent with works by members of the Fairborn Art Association will also be present. The Festival has a family-friendly atmosphere with many children’s activities. Fresh sweet corn is steamed on site by a 1918 steam engine. A variety of food and freshly cut cold watermelon (the FAA booth) will also be available. There is free admission, free parking, & free entertainment both days. Saturday hours are 10 am – 7 pm; Sunday hours are 11 am – 6 pm.

The venue is Fairborn Community Park, 691 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, OH 45324. The park is 1/2 mile west of I-675, exit 20, the Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd. exit. This event is sponsored by the Fairborn Art Association and the Fairborn Lions Club. It is the primary fundraiser for both of these non-profits in support of their charitable activities. FAA supports art education by providing scholarships to college bound high school graduates from the Miami Valley who are pursuing an art major. The Lions Club supports the Pilot Dog program and scholarships for visually impaired Wright State University students.
